Five children, all married and who now talk to each other - 12 grandchildren, all unique - one wife, so special. Thirty two years with Dupont - obviously a singular lack of imagination on my part, but they did manage to keep me interested and learning. Taking four children, ages 1 through 7, on an unstabilized (our conclusion ) Cunard liner from Vancouver to Sydney, Australia. The second day out, all six of us KNEW we would die from sea- sickness. At one moment on that day, Ann put the "nappy bucket" - diaper pail - outside her cabin door, and saw what looked to be the whole crew lined up with their life jackets on, ready for whatever. She swears to this day that her only thought was, "Thank God we're sinking!" The death, of still unknown causes, of a 14 year-old grand-daughter just this year. The awful waste - while at the same time the power and beauty of a family coming together to survive. Growing old is not for sissies.A new career for me over the past 10 years - running management training courses for a couple of US companies. A chance to do what I really wanted - to combine the highs of teaching and acting - while managing my own retirement. A week of work already scheduled for the month before the big 70. Lots of time for reading and golf. I hope you are as happy and as peaceful. 3056 Hercus, BB (Barry) Barry is currently retired and living in Toronto with his wife,Diane. tthey have three children and five grandchildren.
